What is Adullam Scholarship & Christian Growth Fund?
ASCGF is an independently directed reserve fund owned by ACM. The fund is in place for the purpose of assisting with the funding for scholarships and growth projects exclusively for ACM. ASCGF will not determine who will receive funding but will simply allocate funds to be dispersed by the appropriate ACM committees.
How does ASCGF work?
ASCGF is an independent entity within in the ACM organization. The committee includes a Chairperson and two other ACM members one of whom is a board member. The committee meets on an Ad Hoc basis and makes disbursement recommendations to the ACM board for approval. ASCGF is answerable to the ACM board.
ASCFG pledges 5% of its end of year balance to ACM for funding in the following year.
How will ASCGF be funded?
A $5.00 voluntary fee is added to each camp registration. For larger donations of $20.00 or more taxable receipts will be provided by ACM.
Other funding may come from members who wish to donate specifically to ASCGF possibly in memoriam. Others may leave monies to ASCGF as a bequest
An ASCGF memorial book will remember all memorial and bequest donations and letters of gratitude will be sent as appropriate.
Why fund scholarships and Christian growth?
Currently ACM self-funds 4-6 full and partial scholarships per year. ASCGF will, in time, seek to fund some or all of these scholarships.
There are many reasons to either partially or completely fund the camp or LIT experience for young individuals. Some may simply need monetary assistance and others may receive assistance based on merit. Providing full or partial scholarships on merit is seen as an opportunity to recruit campers who may return and bring peers to camp. In all cases, provision of scholarships is considered to reflect the ACM mandate of Christian outreach, Christian leadership education and the promotion of Christian growth.
